Obviously, you all know that the Bible is important, but do your actions and thoughts support your knowledge? Or do you prefer to find answers from the world instead of God's Word?
I believe that this is an issue with people in today's culture. It is so easy to find answers from Google that we don't turn to God like we should. Personally, I think that the Creator of the Universe has a better understanding of the universe than a non-living search engine (no matter how awesome Google can be). In reality, we should turn to God whenever we have a problem, and His Word is probably the best way to hear from Him because it is His love letter to you.
That being said, it is vital to make sure that what you do and say is supported by the Bible. This is especially true whenever you try to make a theological claim or write a sermon/devotional. Many of you might not be doing that on a regular basis, but, whenever you do, you need to use the Bible as supporting evidence to make sure that you aren't saying anything that is fundamentally wrong or taken out of context.
When something like this happens and Scripture is taken out of context, it is important to be able to recognize it as false. This next verse sheds some light on this subject:
