What I'm Thankful For:
Okay, I will say that I am thankful for entertainment. This is another thing that is broad enough to include all of my favorite things: books, music, writing, movies, etc. Without these things that make up so much of my daily life, I don't know what I would be like. I would be completely devoid of personality, and that would be no fun.
Yes, life isn't all about being entertained or happy all of the time, but if you are never entertained or never happy, then I don't think your life is going to be very satisfying. It's good to be content in whatever situation, but sometimes you need something that will de-stress you from all of life's problems. Even children in third world countries that go through more hardships on a daily basis than most Americans do in their entire lives find ways to be happy, whether that's by learning things or playing with other children.
I guess I'm just including that because I've started going back to my "addiction" to reading books in my free time. It has been so long since I've read completely for leisure (The Bible doesn't really count towards that. Sometimes I may read it for fun, but that is still serving to help me grow in my faith, so it still has a purpose, even when it's for leisure.) and I had forgotten how relaxing it can be.
Plus, this category includes movies, which includes my favorites: Disney movies. I may be slightly obsessed with Disney, but I won't go on about that right now :)
100 Hard Thing
Day 16 (11/12/15): I was actually happy at work, even though I was exhausted and tired from working so many days in a row.
Day 17 (11/13/15): I did all of my chores before lunch, when usually I procrastinate, which ends up stressing me out and making me take all day to do simple tasks. That way, I got to do even more things that I have needed to get done around the house.
Day 18 (11/14/15): I did not get annoyed at some of the youth that went to youth convention with me, even though they started off the day by saying annoying things (I don't usually handle middle schoolers that well, so I was proud of myself for being nice to them, despite the rude things they say.)
Day 19 (11/15/15): I helped out at my best friend's church. I was worried about how this event was going to go because it involved a lot of running and hiding, and I didn't really know many of the people there. But it was actually a lot of fun, and I am so glad I did it!
Day 20 (11/16/15): I wrote this blog post (that will go live on 11/17/15) even though I much rather be sleeping.
Well, that is what I am thankful for and the hard things I have done since I last posted in this series :)
As Thanksgiving is coming up next week, what are you thankful for?
