A Super God
Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (NKJV)
I used this verse to get through these couple weeks of my life, and every morning I had to pray that God would give me the strength to get through that day with joy and optimism. And sometimes, mainly to remind myself that God was with me, I would have to pray about that during the day, or I probably would have lost hope a lot more frequently because of my never-ending to-do list. You just have to come to the point where you have to cling to verses like Philippians 4:13 and Psalm 118:24 in order to change your perspective about things in life. And these verses have truly changed the way that I approach each day.
Psalm 118:24 - "This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." (NKJV)
Realizing that I'm not superwoman also reminded me of how stressed out and hopeless I'd be if I didn't have Jesus on my side. How else would I juggle work, chores, high school, band, college, and church? I honestly don't know if I could do all of that without God, and I am so beyond thankful that He has helped me out and lifted the weight off of my shoulders. He truly is amazing. Even though I should probably be stressed out, confused, tired, and hopeless, I feel peace and joy. I might not be completely happy all of the time, but I still have joy. (That might sound confusing to think about, but you'll understand if you experience it for yourself.)
So, I encourage you to seek God for strength and peace if you are struggling with anything in your life right now. He will always be there for you - both when you need Him and when you don't think that you need Him, which means that He is always by your side since you always need God. You can trust Him, even when you can't trust anyone else.
And, if you don't have a relationship with Christ, and you want to, you can contact me any time and we can talk about it (my contact info. can be found here). You can also find a church leader or a Christian friend to talk with if you want to - I'm sure they will be glad to help you out if you just ask them :)
Comment any thoughts you have about this, or similar experiences that you've dealt with concerning when you've almost ran out of the strength to continue. You can also find me on Instagram and my Facebook page. Thank you!
